Celtic can be rightly proud of their efforts in a relatively tough group 1 win and 3 draws giving them a level of respectability. Certainly their best season in Europe for a few years. Yet no doubt the effort will be rubbished
by some of the nutters on our side.
When Rangers achieved the same record in a Champions League group with Manchester United, Valencia and Bursaspor, the usual suspects from
their side did exactly that. Why?
Six points in any decent European company and the achievement should
be recognised across the divide. It does not help our teams when one of
our clubs are dispatched in August - Rangers this season and Celtic last
season. Hopefully both will qualify for the main event next year, Cyprus, yes Cyprus are now the country we are battling for Champions League
recognition. Hardly a big nation in the world of football or in population.
Next year the 2008 points drop off our co-efficent, 22 for Rangers and 12
for Celtic, since then Rangers twice and Celtic once have failed to get out the qualifiers. They have also both been bottom of a Champions League group. Let's put our short term bragging rights away and get behind both in
next season's qualifiers.

It's our title
To be honest Celtic have done well the same as Rangers have done in Europe but because we don't play top quality every week this costs us
Agree mate Celtic and Rangers need to support each other in Europe for the sake of our game, as the better one of us do the better for us in Europe
But this season it's the league so only one winner there

Hope not Jinky.
Just noticed in the final Europa groups all three Belgian
sides topped their respective groups. Surely, Brugge, Liege and Anderleght cannot be that much better than us. Then you have APOEL winning a Champions League group absolute madness.
If we don't get the finger out soon the League will be all
we have from Christmas every year.
