I am perplexed at the way the media has gone out on full throttle writing negative things about Chelsea and their manager, AVB. This has left me wondering as to what could be the main driving force behind this media attack on the manager and the club.
It puzzles me to see today the media is ridiculing Chelsea of having an aged squad, but when the next day AVB tries to refresh the squad by dropping some aged players for young ones, the media is criticising him.
From my little psychology, all this points to one thing, fear of seeing Chelsea succeed under the new manager, AVB i.e. jealousy. The media know practically well that the young manager has the capability of taking Chelsea to greater heights, and they are doing all they can to destabilise him and Chelsea. Let us not forget that the media are just human beings like ourselves and they have inclination towards certain teams.

We'll never win them over - so lets fight back!!!
buy them over, reassign staff who will write articles of the sort we enjoy. Reporters and editors are a cinch for a little corruption... so a little under the table insurgency would not be amiss either.

You should see the way he dealt with the lamp's complaints, the torres issue, etc. He is intelligent!

I do not condone journalists putting out lies, but there is no obligation on an individual journalist or the media at large to like a particular club whether it be Chelsea or Arsenal. I have no idea, but if Chelsea fans are right about the media , maybe the PR at the club is not as good as it could be.

I think Gunnerbe is closest. I do not believe in media bias but I do believe that they find us just to easy to have a pop at and it is mostly self-inflicted.
I do not feel I am in the wrong or paronoid in criticising the media, today it may be our club tomorrow it will be another and whilst I do feel we get more than our fair share I know others will suffer. I also know that other fans feel they get it worse than we do.
The media are a waste of space in my books but they aren't going away. Happy to see anyone stand up to them.
One last point, if you relish or jump on the badwagon of a story relating to another club, you really have no justfication complaining about them having a pop at ours.
