Disgusting Attitude

Good morning Reds fans and a happy Friday!

I know this is nothing to do with Liverpool fans but at least I'll get some interesting discussion rather than some of the rubbish you see on the Spurs board.

So my gripe is with Tottenham's attitude to the Europa League. Look at the teams they have put out in that competition; they show utter disrespect to both the competition in itself and also the opposition teams against whom they are playing by having this apathetic attitude.

When a team plays in Europe they are flying the flag for both the Premier League for for England, like it or not, but there is absolutely no proud and to me it just screams of arrogance.

It feels like Spurs think they are better than the competition which is utterly ridiculous since in the last decade they've only made the Champion's League once! It's just such an awful attitude to have.

Silverware is silverware and I think all English teams, including the Manchester teams should go all out to try and win the damn thing! Money and a small cameo champion's league campaign are temporary, a nice trophy in your trophy cabinet lasts forever. Some English teams need to pull their head out of their backside and go for the trophy!

To me this is a sickening sign of how football has become, it's now a business, how long before all the enjoyment is sucked out completely?

Any Spurs fans reading this; would you not liked to have seen your side reach the final and lift the trophy? To take an example from my club (Liverpool), the Carling Cup is not the most competitive competition but I would LOVE to see us beat City, make the final and win the thing. It would be a great feeling.

Rant over.

So if you try your hardest and still can't progress in the EL, what's the point in even getting to the CL?

I said the team he put out tried their hardest. In the CL, the rewards are greater, hence, they'll put out a stronger team.

So you're saying they don't try as hard in the CL as they could do?

I think in the CL Group stages some teams do just enough to get by without knackering all their top players...this season it cost Utd who never put out a full team or the same team twice.

TalksRubbish- I dont believe a teams history gives them good cause to be over-hyped.

I disagree. Take Man Utd for example. Any other team a few goals down with 10 minutes to go would be written off. Would you write Man Utd off?

Neither would I.

I think you would now.
