Media Bias is getting sickening.

Does anyone remember who won last months Football LEAGUE young player award? The month before?

No,me either but there is a whole section on the BBC devoted to a Liverpool player winning it this month.Yes,a Liverpool player on loan to the Football League is note worthy apparently.

And what about the Europa League? Derided and ridiculed by even the media for years and yet now it's 'showing the strength of European football" because ManU and City got dumped in to it.

Seriously it's getting beyond a joke.

Totally agree. Utd and City are only in it because they weren't good enough to carry on in the CL.

As for the young player of the month, I have no idea who has won in previous months which proves your point

I've found the media's disregard for the integrity of the Europa League sickening for a LONG time. There are a whole cluster of European times that would consider winning that competition one of the biggest honours in their club's existance. Likewise, there are players/managers would've had some of their finest moments in this competition (i.e. the old UEFA Cup).

Look at the four previous winners for example :

2011/Porto : Launched the careers of AVB, Falcao, and possibly others come the new year.

2010/Athletico : That trophy was part of a double winning season that ended a 17 year barren run.

2009/Shakhtar : Winning the last UEFA Cup was the culmination of a near 10 year project that saw a plucky lil side in Ukraine who were firmly in the shadow of Dinamo Kiev, instigate a revolution and become the alpha team in their own country.

2008/Zenit : Same sort of scenario as Shakhtar, at last a team from outside of Moscow was able to amount to something on the continental stage. Not to mention it got Arshavin the deal of a lifetime he didn't deserve. But unlike Shakhtar, Zenit's triumph became the start of a long-term project which has seen them rise out of the shadows and become a seriously player in Russia.

Then you have this year's competition. Team's like Ajax, Twente, Braga, Rubin, Steaua, Besiktas, Sporting, and even Udinese all have their own stories and motives for winning this proud competition.

Our media seriously need to realise just because our own footballing culture adapts certain values, it doesn't mean the rest of Europe has equally stunted opinions.

Ofcourse none of you would know about the young player award you support premiership teams. I'm not making a big deal out of it and not many Liverpool supporters are, seems to me you just dont like hearing about liverpool players being awarded something.

And because it's never been a headline story on the BBC until it involved Liverpool.
