The Prem's 20,000th goal...

The Premiership's 20,000th goal could be scored this weekend. Are there any Mystic Meg's out there who would like to predict who it will be?

So far, 19,964 Premier League goals have been scored, so just 36 to go. If there are a few high scoring matches, it could be today or tomorrow.

Just to re-cap on past milstones:

1st Premiership goal ever - Brian Deane in 1992

100th - Cantona also in 1992.

1,000th - Mike Newell in 1993.

4,000th - Shearer in 1995.

7,000th - Bergkamp in 1998.

8,000th - Gus Poyet in 1999.

10,000th - Sir Les in 2001.

15,000th - Voltz in 2006.

it would be great if RVP scores 4 goals and beats the record in a calender year and also gets the 20,000th goal in the process (before anyone laughs I do not mean all 4 tomorrow.... I am not that stupid......a Hat-trick would be enough tomorrow )
