Another Van Persie article. Well, you could say that I'm obsessed with him like Captain Positivity is with Sneijder.
Reports have today claimed that we will be lining up a £30 million bid for Van Persie in the summer. If reports are to be believed, we will certainly be progressing further in the Champions League if we sign Van Persie and he avoids getting injured.
I'm personally convinced that we will sign him in the summer for a deal worth roughly £40 million. He won't be signing a contract in the summer, instead he'll follow the footpath of Nasri, Clichy, Toure and Adebayor.
Also, Van Persie has only got the 2005 FA Cup medal to show for almost eight years.
So, why would he not clinch a deal worth approximately £150,000 a week? He has 18 months remaining on his contract, and is aware of the fact that this is his last chance to make a big move.
In conclusion I'm pretty sure Van Persie will not refuse to sign for us with his current contract situation at Arsenal and also bearing in mind that we're regarded as the current best team of England.
Maybe, some of you will disagree with me on this but I have a feeling that we'll see Van Persie follow his former team mates and join City.

Arsenal aren't a small Europa league team yet.
If arsenal finish 5th would you rather you got £20m for him or let him go on a free? My guess is he wants to win a league title, and city would be the obvious choice.

Batmanu I think it's more a case of whether Barca or Real put a bid in for him. If they put a reasonable bid in then he'd want to go. I don't think they'd sign him just because he's available. They'd weigh up their own options first with Villa, Higuain etc.

Sharron Lennon (U11892)
He'd score plenty of goals for us in that year meaning we may be able to reach 4th again and sign a better player, so to be honest I might say let him go on a free

Madrid will definitely be in for him in the Summer. I am worried that he will leave us for them. If we don't finish top 4 he will definitely be off, but not to Cíteh. I know it is easy for me to sit behind a PC and say I am not worried about him joining them but the fact of the matter is I am not worried in the slightest. Madrid on the other hand...

Problem is Wenger cares too much about the bank balance do see him selling him while he can.
He'll bring someone in but whoever it is won't be at RvP's level.

Sharron Lennon do you think that Wenger wants to sell the likes of Nasri, Cesc and RVP? Oh dear if you do

It depends whether VP wants to play football - look at Nasri - just a bench warmer

i think the overriding is his age and as someone pointed out the years are running out for him to win something major. the funny thing is that I have a suspicion that this current Arsenal side might actually pull off something major this season so that might have a bearing on his final decision.

His years aren't running out, he has talked about staying at Arsenal in the long-term and developing his game into the bergkamp role when his body inevitably slows down a bit. He is a loyal Dutch family man and if he leaves Arsenal it will not be to Man City i assure you, he is not a moneygrabbing little French hooker like our friend Samir and would not want to be remembered as our captain in that light.

It's a matter of time before we learn from our mistakes and score.
