It has been a while since I have watched Liverpool and not been at all worried about the result. The two early goals helped of course, but we were never in any danger. The only disappointment was again that we didn't win by more.
Suarez was again superb and how he didn't score was remarkable. Bellamy later said he's never seen a player 'quite of his ability or luck'. That pretty much sums it up, but the luck will change.
The defence was again solid, this evident by the fact Carra was reduced to another cameo appearance. I believe Agger staying fit is vital, there aren't many better centre backs in the league. Glen Johnson and Enrique are in my opinion the best full backs in the league, with Kelly and Aurelio as back up the strength in this department is phenomenal. Skrtel is now showing the consistency required at the top level and his partnership with Agger will hopefully be a stronghold of our defence for years to come.
Shelvey looked sharp, with a run in the team he could become a very good player for us. I'm not sure what his true position is, once he finds his role hopefully he'll excel in it. To me it's exciting to have so many youngsters in the team that all seem to be developing at a good rate. Also, having the likes of Sterling, Wisdom, Suso in the wings points to a very bright future....
The future's bright, the future's..err red?

Using the same logic United are a one man team (Rooney) as are Arsenal (Van Persie)...

As soon as a we get an outstanding player we are a one man team, this stems from the Gerrard and then Torres days, it's an easy thing for numpties to churn out so will keep coming up...
But the fact Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Agger, Gerrard, Suarez, Lucas would walk into most teams suggests we're really not a one man team.

Not sure mate, don't think Johnson, Agger or Enrique would walk into the current top 4 in the same way I don't think Malouda, Mikel or Bosingwa would either.
Do you see Suarez staying if you don't make the CL again this season?

I don't know about that to be honest. All of those players you've mentioned are part of the best defence in the league. They've all been playing very well and given the way that Chelsea's defence is playing, Man Utd's continual injuries, Arsenals LB and RB problems I feel that they all would.

OK, how about you swap Torres for Suarez? Please?

No thanks. I must admit that when AVB said "Torres is not for sale at any price" my first thought was simply "why?".
I can see Suarez replacing Villa at Barca given the ages of the players and the style of play. Certainly if Suarez is less profligate in front of goal for the remainder of the season.

Robbing
Do you think the Torres conundrum is down to form, attitude, AVB playing style or opportunity?
Do you think his best days are recoverable or behind him now?

Photo,
Bit of a cop out this but a bit of all of them. He's not been right since he did his hammy and had a kid - that was about 2 years ago. He's been playing first class football from the age of 16 and has always had a lot of responsibility.
Much like Fowler and Owen I think there maybe a little burn out there. He also does not look happy and just when he looked like he was gaining a little form he got banned and again has not come back right.
I think AVB playing style is perfect for him. Stretching play wide with Mata and Sturridge creates spacwe up front and he is also very decent in the air.
No though, much like snooker, you can't do anything while you're "not at the table". His chance will come during the ACN and if he does not take it then I feel he won't be playing in England next year.
