Theres no point in appealing. Is it really worth the risk of another 4 games being slapped on the end of the current ban. Im not exactly sure how it works but If we immediately declined an appeal would his ban start from now? Meaning he would be banned for wigan, blackburn, newcastle. Stoke, bolton, 2 cup ties and man city in the league.
Now considering how tough a month february is going to be i think id accept him missing the above fixtures. Id still feel confident in beating wigan, blackburn newcastle stoke bolton and oldham without him. Hed also be back for the 2nd leg of the semi with man city.
As bad as 8 games sound the fixtures above arent the worst for him to miss.
On a side i'll be disgusted if the fa dont come down as equally hard on their darling england captain!!
I wouldnt bother appealing

I'm not worried.

They can't do that!!! He's the England captain! Its not sour grapes, but a physical assault on another player during an international, thanks to the F All, geets reduced from 3 to 2 match ban. How is that fair. Why am I bothering to ask? Its the suits at the FA I'm talking about, only interested in making money. Pathetic. JimmyTheRed

Yeah looking at the fixture list we have a decent run coming up, bar a couple of Man City games.
I think we will be in for a striker this transfer window though, and it wont just be Donnelly who is one for the future. We will be in for one who can make an impact now!

Think if Terry is found guilty he will get at least the same, & quite rightly. Take the club bias away & you have to applaud the FA for making a stand against racism

He racially abused Evra.
Much as I detest Evra, racism is never right, and surely if he has been found guilty you should do everything you can to distance yourself from such a man; he's unquestionably talented, but a real - all the incidents that spring to mind are evidence to support this.
However, I don't think you'll miss him that much (assuming you sign a decent striker in Jan) - he is quite profligate and doesn't score that many anyway.
I think Terry should be dealt an even more severe ban - if the allegations against him are true, then there is no margin for misunderstanding as there was with this incident.

Suarez will be playing tomorrow by the way.
Absolute farce it really is. I can see us taking the FA to court over this and rightly so.

"I can see us taking the FA to court over this and rightly so."
Really? What on earth makes you think that "taking the FA to court" would be the right thing to do?
