After yesterday's victory for football and morality, we can safely sleep tight knowing that LFC have once again been proved to be a disgusting club that only ever tarnishes English football.
But moving on, we have a difficult game tonight against, what has proved stubborn opposition for us recently.
Need to keep the heat on city also, so i predict a scrappy 1 - 0 or 2 - 0 United win.
Team
De Gea
Smalling Rio Evans Evra
Nani Jones Carrick Valencia
Rooney Welbeck

I think welbeck offers much more

I would prefer Welbeck played tonight he has played well and Hernandez shouldn't get straight back into side after injury he should come off bench.
Welbeck holds ball up and is handful up front, plus he's a Utd youth product so always good to see him playing.

"Oh yes i know we shouldn't pretend we know more than Fergie"
I was being sarcastic.
"I think welbeck offers much more"
I think he still has a lot to prove. Hernandez was on form for an entire season, and his first at the club, making it even more impressive. But Welbeck looked brilliant at the start of the season. He offered not only the finishing ability that Hernandez possesses, but also intelligent runs, and I think slightly more instinctive understanding of the game, and more ball skill.

Welbeck is a better option in this sort of game because he won't just wait for a chance. He'll make things happen and he can take care of himself on the pitch.
Hernandez is a great poacher but his all round game isn't there yet. He can come in as a sub later in the game. I would definitely start Rooney and Welbeck

I reckon we might get a 1.2 win tonight, but i don't normally make predictions on scorelines.
However i do think if Fergie tinkers we will have trouble !

Welbeck is far better for away games, he helps in possession and works as hard as rooney to win back balls and creates chances through his passing, knock downs etc. Hernandez can get you a goal, welbeck can win you a game.

A third of our away wins so far this season have come from a single Hernandez goal

"A third of our away wins so far this season have come from a single Hernandez goal"
Which is great, but would Welbeck have done an equally, if not better job?
Going by his form pre-season, and the first four games, I think maybe he would.

I'm not sure, Hernandez can not see the ball for 89 minutes and pop up with a goal, Welbeck, similarly to Rooney, tends to go looking for the ball and this can lead to him not being in the right place at the right time. Think Welbeck may become a very good player but I don't expect him to get one goal from one half chance like I do with Hernandez.

Yep, fair comment.
At least for once, it's a good dilemma for the club to have.
