Bad news for australia, indifferent news for bangladesh and good news for pakistan and new zealand is the result of these rankings. previously, i pakistan had not played bangladesh in a very long time, so long in fact that the points had been scrubbed off. basically, pakistan have picked up 13 points for free.

what pakistan fans should want is a really bad performance from SL in SA, because this might have the potential to take SL down to 105 ish points, only 3 ahead of pakistan

yes, if they win test matches.
it won't happen after the england series, but when pakistan next play sri lanka, that is when they will move up to 5th
