Brunt has a great left foot when he wants to use it, just isnt consistent enough, if he was he could be a great player, yeah that Vuckic looked really up for it tonight, could be a star in the making, may have been different tonight if Cabaye was on.

He's been being talked up within the club for a while and was good to see he can handle it. Cabaye may have changed it. Would've kept the ball better if he was on. Tiote needs to be dropped after that. Vuckic doesn't deserve to be dropped

You can categorise our players into 3 groups; class, ineffective & poor.

Class: Colo, Ba, HBA, Santon, Cabaye, Krul, Tiote (according to rep)
Ineffective: Gutierrez, Simpson, Best
Poor: Perch, Raylor, Shola, Obertan

If one or two of the class players aren't on form then we're ****ed. Coloccini, Krul and Tiote were very poor tonight and we lose at home, despite scoring two.

Hopefully we'll do better at Bolton with Williamson & Cabaye back.

I didn't think Newcastle were that poor yesterday - it was just your defence that let you down. Mind you, I'm sure your best defence would have struggled against Odemwingie and Long last night - they were class.

Everytime I see Tiote play he is awful. I just don't understand what all the fuss is about. It's not just because he plays for you lot either and I'll admit Ba and the keeper look awesome for you but Tiote?
