Maynard....again

Serves Bristol city right. But no I don't think we should go for him, he clearly didn't want to come to us in the summer so why go for him again??

Couldn't understand Bristol City turning down our offer in the summer with Maynard having only a year to go on his contract. They were never going to be challengers for promotion and they could have done a lot with the money during the August window and now.
On Maynard now - I think I would prefer Sharp if he wanted to come here.

As we are far more likely to get him on our terms this time, I'd go in for him - as one of a number of targets.

I think we've got strikers who aren't getting the service they deserve/require to score the goals they're capable of scoring tbh. Don't think signing more strikers will help tbh. (as much as billy sharp or jordan rhodes would be class additions) My priority would be to sign 2 quality wingers and offload 2 centre mids.

Getting the balance in the squad right to play a flat 4-4-2 with width, rather than the diamond sven played (hence the amount of CM's)

Maynard clearly didnt want to join us in the summer so I hope we dont waste time going in for him again. Let him warm up a Premier League bench.

We don't really need another striker with 2 seasoned pros in Nugent and Beckford and 2 up & coming young players in Waghorn and Schlupp. Wags could fill a void if 1 of our main 2 get injured or suspended. He may even end up our No1 striker if he finds his feet here again? Seriously!
Only way we need another goalscorer will be if Beckford wants out or Schlupp goes out on loan. Give Beckford to the end of the season. He'll let us know for sure.
What City need is a very good winger in for us to start firing on all cylinders.

Not our number one priority but I would take him straight away.

I can't see where this blind faith in Waghorn comes from and Beckford doesn't look like he wants to be here.

But a winger first please.
