Anyways, Villareal are struggling in their league and sacked their manager about an hour ago. Rossi is out for another four months but should we do a deal so we get him at the end of the season so he can prove his fitness? I would have taken him now but he got injured end of October.

Although Rossi has the quality to be pushing for a starting place where as Defoe simply doesn't and Harry clearly doesn't rate him

It's a risk, but could we pay a small fee now to sign an agreement for first option on Rossi now, so if he does prove his fitness, we have a price all agreed (albeit for an outlay right now). If his stock is "low", now would be the time to pounce as we cannot compete financially for top players on a level playing field. Look at how we got VDV and to an extent Ade.
If memory serves, wasn't there a "strong rumour" going around last year that we had a Rossi deal sewn up, but Levy welched at the last minute because he got cold feet about spending £20mil+? Probably some SC ITK rubbish...

King Arry - There have been rumors around Rossi for several seasons now, but Villarreal wont let him go for anything under £30 million according to reports in August, maybe that will change now
