Testimonial for Rafa Perhaps?

Great news that Liverpool are playing Valencia in August. Could this game be played as a testimonial game for Rafa?

He did so much for both clubs, and spent 10 years combined at both. He made Valencia into the best team in Spain, winning La Liga, and made Liverpool the best side in Europe, winning us the ECL.

We both owe so much to the man, and it would be a fitting tribute, to say thank you from both clubs.

He could manage Valencia in the first half, and us in the second! I for one would love to see him in the dugout with Kenny, orchestrating our tactics and formation!

What are your thoughts?

YNWA.

Just because we sold Ronaldo for 80m it doesnt mean it should be disregarded from the net spend figures, its the same as any other transfer, apart from the fee of course.

the net spend figures for pool are even worse bc torres and babel were bought on credit and most figures don't include the interest payments.

He had no money at Inter! Try learning to read!!!

why on earth would you need to spend on a side that had just won the treble?

did half the side retire or something?

Hmm it would apear that neither of you muppets can read.

1. Ageing squad (it is what the speacial one does best)
2. Injuries

So when Fergie won the double in 99 and 08 did he buy new players? Yes i think you will find he did. So why would he need to improve the squad?

I think you guys are the serial idiots!

When he joined the club, they were valued at only £50m.

This is quite possibly the biggest crock of cr@p I have ever seen posted on any football forum.

That award would go to his next sentence: "When he left, they were valued at almost £1bn"

A TESTIMONIAL for a manager that only served 5 years at each club, and after receiving a reputed £3-6million pound (sources are not consistent) payoff from LFC.
Absurd.
And as for him donating the proceeds to charity, look at his previous. I don't think donating £96,000 out of his multi-million pound payout could be construed as the picture of generosity.
