Is it a wise move to send him on loan for a season?
Correct me if I am wrong, but we bought him as a proven goalscorer, particularly in Div 2.
IMO, someone must be confident that we are going to sign better before the season starts. Otherwise why get rid of a player who scored enough goals to help Torquay out of the division.
Unless there's something else I don't know about!

Very odd.
While i don't think he showed much during his time here, and can't really do anything except stand in the right position and stick the ball in the net, he was our only proven striker for league 2. Our only strikers left are Bodin (who i think will be given chances next season but mostly off the bench) and pavett (who lets face it is probably never going to play).
It can surely only mean they have tied up deals with at least two strikers they consider better/ ahead of him in the pecking order.

As said before this is very strange. Di Canio must have atleast 3 new strikers because we have no one upfront, We only have Bodin. One thing that is quite pleasing who we have looking for new strikers. Di Canio knows what it takes to be a goalscorer and surely he knows what he will be looking for in a striker.
But why get rid of a proven League two goalscorer? seems stupid.

Can't really decipher richwwfc comments.
But, for me, to send him out on loan now, before we have any new guys, is strange.
Why not wait until we actually have new players.
A bird in the hand.....

You would expect new players to be announced tomorrow after today's departures but I have been thinking that for a few days now ! It has now started to sink in just how much of a rebuilding job PDC and the club have on their hands. I know we have plenty of time before the first game of the season but it will certainly put me more at ease if the new players are announced sooner rather than later. Having said that if it means waiting for the right players then so be it.
