Lee Clark states that, regarding Jamie's loan to Preston both Ends....
"The loan was to benefit everyone, most importantly Huddersfield Town".....
is that right ,
he went on to say he'd watched Jamie "Closely while at Preston, - they have only conceded 2 goals in 5 games"...well well well, I believe the shut out was similar when he partnered Mr Kay playing as a pair for TOWN. (OK, he had to serve the suspension, But the defense has leaked like a sieve ever since. )
also, "being at Preston benefited Jamie,... (? . How, Like being away from L Clark's influence !) .... & will benefit us now he is back here, It's a NO BRAINER REALLY".....
I think we ALL already knew that Lee.
Of the 4 centre backs available, One is surplus to requirements at the moment... one who is suspended (just like Jamie was ) & could do with a spell out on loan, as clearly the Kay/McCombe combo is the one that has performed the most efficiently up to now, & who knows how the Kay/Bruce, or McCombe/ Bruce combinations will develop.
Maybe 'WTBA' 'Jacko' '38' & the rest are right ! The JA606 bloggers are picking the team & suggesting the tactics afterall....
WELCOME BACK JAMIE
Porkie Pies at Christmas.

I was fortunate to see that game too MIRF.
MK v 'both ENDS.
Jamie was an influence in the defense. & yes, he did make mistakes, which always get seized upon by all & sundry, A defender makes a mistake, & folk go ballistic. An attacker misses a sitter, & it can range from 'Hard lines' right through to 'I could have put that in'.
The playing field is definitely not level when applied to mistakes/blame when taken in the context of Forwards & defenders.
in his last 14 games, To have played in 7...where the score against is 'NIL'. is very good for a defensive point of view.
apart from Rhodes, How many forwards score 7 in 14 games....
so no. lets not be throwing mud at Jamie, especially before he's even returned.
That aside.
It's a team game, & that should be a given that we put out our best starting line up everytime, The issue here for me is that, that has not been the case, & i think most of us, especially on this web site agree, As poor as our defense can be, We have not had the best combination out there on a consistent occurrence.
Anyway, from what Jacko has said,
It will almost certainly be Kay-Bruce on Monday.....
ENJOY

You can be sure we won't be loaning any more players to Preston, that's for sure. Even if the 'get out' clause was missed, surely if a club wants their loanee back, you should let them have him ? After all, he's Towns player and we've done them a favour by letting him go there.
Very unsporting Preston. Wonder who the idiot was who messed up the paperwork...?

If he was so good why loan him out in the first place but Clarke doesn,t do logical

A player's star always rises when he is out. Guarantee that if Boom Boom gets another run, we won't be hearing quite so many positive noises.

Poor Mccoombe, He was a good player in the championship for Bristol C, I actually think he is the best of a much of a muchness collection of centre halves that we have, They all make mistakes, None are great at anything, All suffer from lapses of concentration, But i think a lot of folk underate JM and think he is comedy value simply because of his physique, Tall and gangly he looks awkward and nothing like a footballer should look in peoples eyes, He is also quicker than people give him credit for, Is more accomplished than he gets credit for and just needs the correct partner to bring the best out of him,, Yet again i wont hold my breath on that score given Clarkys defensive signings over the last three years.
