Cricket wakes up in its homeland

It had been asleep for last 20 years because of painful and often underachieving and underperforming.
But past 2 years they have played cricket as if Cricket were actually invented in England and as if it were Englands national pastime.Just realized that English cricket team and some players were awarded in inter-sport award function. Never saw that happen to English cricket in my lifetime ie past decade and half. Finally English cricket is getting to a peak that it deserves.

I am so happy to see the resurgence of the game of cricket, the greatest sport of earth on the country where its most truly appreciated.
And I hope, Cricket will again be the no. 1 sport in England (not considering football) that it truly was for about 300 years until about 50 years ago.
Thanks to this great England team and some outstanding individual performer like Alastair Cook and Graeme Swann for re-surging this sport in the England.
The T20 and Test champs have certainly raised the games to higher profile and helped the game of cricket a lot.
