If he was signing permanent I would agree with you about ruining his legacy but it's just a 2 month loan deal and he'll be back up to Van Persie. Nobody will be expecting miracles because we all know he's past his best, even if he was rubbish it wouldn't ruin his legacy for me tbh.

Also...Raul is still a capable goal scorer. So who knows? He might surprise us. He'll be signed based on his training etc, it's not a blind gamble.

If we're not actually going to sign a better back up to Van Persie than we already have at the club, then I'm all for it.
