Top 4 — Premier League Goals

Bangers, screamers, whatever you call them, there is nothing like witnessing spectacular Premier League goals.

With that in mind, I thought I should specify my top 4 — Premier League Goals of all time. For those of you wondering, the below list is in no particular order but they are bangers of the highest order.

1) Wayne RooneyManchester United v Manchester City

This is everyone's favourite goal peoples’ favourite and it certainly has to be up there with the best goals of all time.

2) Aaron LennonTottenham Hotspur v Fulham

An amazing understanding between Bale and Lennon which turned out to be the goal that won Spurs the game against Fulham. By far the best goal Spurs have scored this season. They certainly have what it takes to become the new English Barca.

3) Edin DzekoManchester City v Manchester United

This is by far the most remarkable goal that City have scored against Man Utd. Pure class, if you ask me. It was an early sign of City dominating the Premier League for many years to come, something we're presently doing so this season.

4) Robin van Persie Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur

Although, van Persie has scored hundreds of goals in his career, this goal is without a doubt my favourite. Great goal by van Persie and an astonishing goal which sunk Spurs during that game. To top it off, the celeberation by Adebayor and van Persie still lives in mind. That says it all.

I also think over head kicks are easier than a volley, especially if its dropping out of the sky off Shola's 50p heed like SHEARER's

Dr,

I wouldn't call that an insult if I were you.

Are you challenging my opinion here? I hope not.

Volleys are easier than overhead kicks. FAKHT

Rooney shinned his goal. There is no technique involved. Also Gav I know you enjoy deleting comments that make you look stupid but Rooney's overhead kick IS a volley

Does no-one else agree that Berba's overhead kick was better than Rooney's then?

To be honest, I think it's pretty inconclusive whether Rooney shinned it or not. The contact he got and the way the ball flew off his foot suggest not, but some still photos seem to show it coming off his shin. This could just be an optical illusion though.

It's a pretty pathetic way to attempt to diminish the skill involved in a world class goal, though. It would be the same as me saying that RVP sliced/shinned his volley against Charlton. From the replay behind Eboue delivering the cross, it looks like he might have shinned it, and it looks sliced from the spin of the ball. Any other angle, and any viewing in normal speed shows you that he connected brilliantly with it.

Both goals were beautifully struck in my opinion, but slow-motion replays often make it harder to judge what happened than full speed.
