So when the FA asked him, "Did you use a racist term?", are you saying he should have not spoken? The only alternative would have been to lie. That's why Phil Thompson is a noob. Imagine a Manchester player in this situation. Phil Thompson would have said lying would be a shameful act.

I didn't watch GSS, so i'm just going by what you said.

But you mentioned that thompson said suarez should have kept his mouth shut. how is that possible? when the fa ask him, "do you admit to using a racist term" what should suarez do? keep his mouth shut? no, because he would've got charged regardless. therefore, to get away with it, he would have had to have lied (which he didn't). thompson was suggesting suarez should have lied, but sugar coated it by implying he should have kept his mouth shut.
