He will be an excellent manager and could stay long term. I was hoping the club would see sense and appoint him. This guy is the new JM. With hiddink as sporting director, and a couple of signings, we could be the team to beat.
Also he speaks fluent english which is another postive.
Its Andre Villas-Boas!!!

Big gamble but could pay off big time

Jolly, if you read all about him and his journey through football you wou'ldnt think it as much of a risk. I don't think it is a gamble at all.
His in depth opposition reporting was a massive part of Jose Mourinhos success at Chelsea, Porto and Inter.
he had his uefa pro license at 17!!! the guy truely is special

I agree, every new manager is a risk but someone who wins the league with over a month to go, wins the treble and gets the best out of so many players is definately special. All in his debut season as well. My personal choice, glad we're being linked with him now

he does seem like a good manager, did amazing at Porto, but to say you will dominate because of him is a no-no. He still is no patch on Fergie and luiz felipe scolari was hailed before he came so be careful what you wish for

"He still is no patch on Fergie"
Fergie is nearly 70 been managing nearly 40 years, AVB has been managing for 2, comparing them at this stage is just ridiculous.
