...gutted that we only drew away from home. West Brom celebrating the draw like its the premier league title they'd just acquired. Comparisons to Arsenal and to top it all the rags recording a nine on the giddy-o-meter after beating er, wigan!
That blue moon keeps on rising : )
How times change hey!

Think you might be underselling the Prem a bit there Batmanu. The teams below the top 6 aren't all godawful.
You've got a solid string of sides all vying to make up the rest of the top ten. Stoke doing well in Europe, Fulham making the final a couple of years back, with some underperformance from sides like Everton, Villa and Bolton. But overall there's some decent sides in there when compared to foreign clubs of similar stature, and a lot of clubs coming up into the Prem trying to play football too.

"I can just imagine, if we win the league this season they'll all be saying 'well it's the worst league ever, I said so back in December'. Getting the safety excuses lined up already."
That's what everyone was saying about last season.

Hi PPLF how was the Hawthorns yesterday ? Was it worth the grief you got from the missus ?
One thing I would say about the city fans on here is the vast majority make reasoned and sensible posts , not wind ups and have intelligent argument. Also it appears to me, the majority are match going fans. Very different to the Liverpool Chelsea and Arsenal boards.
Yes we all like banter and a bit of winding up but thats what this site is for, but respect to my blue cousins ! OMG must be christmas , lol.

last season's league was poor, United were no great shakes but won it by 9 points. But to be honest who cares. If City do end up winning the league I don't think their fans will care one bit what the standard of the other teams was like. The best team wins the league end of. United's first premier league win in 1993 was one of the poorest leagues in living memory with Norwich and Villa our only rivals. Did we care ? Not at all.

Hyped up? I don't think so. The praise we've had came eventually and ever so reluctantly at that. That praise was fully merited due to the attractive football we've provided the nation so far. There's been no hype.
