I guess not many young Man U fans realise that when City last won the league in 1968 that Utd and City were both equal on points going into the last weekend - Utd then lost at home to Sunderland and City beat Newcastle away to win by 2 points. Just realised that Utd play Sunderland away in last game of the season while Citys second last game of the season is away to Newcastle. Hope that this is not a bad omen

If we we're neck and neck going into the last week and we lose our last match and they win theirs, how is it that they win the League by only 2 points?

Edit; if we were...

Because it was 2 points for a win back then.

United's run-in from March is one the kindest I have seen given to them for a few seasons.

And since then...Sunderland has not won at Old Trafford since May 1968 when they beat United 2-1
and so....that season finished like that....
1. City
2. United
3. Liverpool

Well let's hope City win it.Good for football

City winning the league would be good for City, but not a great day for football in my opinion, now Spurs or Arsenal winning it would be good for football
