Michael O'Neill has been appointed manager of NI.
I think the IFA have got this appointment spot on. He deserves it based on what he achieved with Shamrock Rovers.
Let's hope he's given the time by both the IFA and the fans to get the team playing his way.

I wonder will he try and bring in Magilton as his number 2?

Very pleased with the appointment (although my own choice would have been Jim Magilton)
Will be interesting to see if he asks Jim to assist although will be even more surprising to see if Jim will accept as I understand he is bursting to get back into management
Michael O'Neill will be very well received by the supporters and will be given time to settle in.
Most of us know the impossible job he has ahead with the current crop of honest pros and general garbage.
Have some good kids coming through though and trust he has the nerve to play them straight away.
Its our only hope.
Imagine the many decent ROI supporters will wish him well also
Good luck Michael

A good appointment by Northern Ireland. He's young and enthusiastic and knows his stuff. Anyone who gets an Irish club to the group stages of a European Competition deserves a lot of praise. I hope he does well. I too would like to see Magilton as his number 2. I think they work well together.
