Bale has recently been one of the most hyped up players in the football world since he put on an impressive consecutive world-class performance against Inter Milan in the Champions League. Numerous performances in Europe and the Premier League automatically put Bale on the map in terms of being the best left-winger in the world.
As a result of his previous performances, a counter-movement was created by opposition fans; a movement which claimed that Bale didn't have the ability to match the praise he received, and was relatively an over hyped player. In addition, the majority of the football followers said that he had to display greater consistency and potency on paper to deserve the praise he frequently received.
However, this season, Bale has shown on the field and paper that he is indeed worthy of being declared to be one of the best left wingers in the world in my opinion. Though he, along with the rest of Tottenham's starters have been kept out of the Europa League and Carling Cup, but that doesn't matter Bale has already shone England and Europe.
This boost in production is not only because of Bale stepping up his game ― his excellent understanding with Adebayor has also been a major factor.
I would personally refer to Bale as the best left-winger in the world from now onwards. Considering the fact that Ronaldo, Mata, Ozil and Silva are not left-wingers, but can clearly play in that position ― his only challenger for the title in this moment of time is Ribery, who will 29 years of age at the end of this season. Whereas Bale will be only 22; a huge age gap. In a few years Ribery will be in decline, while Bale won't have even hit his prime.
Here's to hoping that Bale remains at White Hart Lane and keeps proving his bitter doubters wrong
Bale is world's best left winger

Great wingers leave the PL as soon as they can!
It only takes an angry Stoke or Wolves defender to sort them right out, just ask Robben or Ronaldo. Giggs stayed for the birds though.
He'll be gone before you can say Tax Man!

What is particularly impressive about Bale is how he is now doubled up & even tripled up on, but still turns out displays like he does.
A truely gifted footballer. He has a lot to thank Harry for i reckon.

Alex,
Nani is right-winger, hence why I said left-winger in the article title and I also mentioned others who can play on the left, but aren't natural left-wingers.

i think Bale's recent performance's have shown him to be a lot more than just a winger. He's been playing all across the front - taking Lennon's place on the right or running through the middle as we saw yesterday.
In my opinion he is the most in-form winger in the league and not far off the best overall. If he keeps improving at the rate he has done, why not?
COYS!
