So when will the FA...

start imposing fines on refs who single handedly determine the outcome of a match?

The FA are quick to issuing fines for player reactions, but how about doing something to who caused it all: the ref.

Remember Spearing won the ball fair and square...never a red in a million years!

...and what about Dempsey?

on the whole the decisions even themselves out. Its the bigger teams who tend to get most wrong decisions against them but because by and large they go on to win the game anyway the wrong decision gets forgotten. Whereas a team down the bottom will use the poor decision as an excuse as to why they didn't win and will dwell on it.

We have to treat refs like players they make errors all the time. If we don't have reviews then the players should accept the ref decision with good grace.

so by your logic, united are a small team. slur alex DOES moan when you lose and blame the ref....doesnt he??

not at all, I wasn't having a dig at Liverpool. United had an absolute nailed on 100% penalty turned down at Fulham but went on to win 5-0 so it doesn't get a mention. If a team gets a bad decision against United and go on to lose you never here the end of it. My point is , bad decisions are only remembered if you don't win which gives the impression that the bigger clubs don't suffer as much as the smaller ones but it just isn't true.

Spearing's tackle may have won the ball FIRST but then he carried on and his "contact" with the player looks like a leg-breaker - check it out from behind Spearing - TOTALLY RECKLESS CHALLENGE AND DANGEROUS PLAY - please obey the rules of the game.

Its an open Forum mervin. The truth always hurts.

It's quite simple really. The FA should allow them to be interviewed after the match. That will never happen though.
