Im worried.

With news that Ancelotti is on the verge of joining PSG I for one am very worried what happens now to Spurs if/when Harry leaves.

I had it in the back of my mind if Harry left we'd move for Ancelotti but now I have a bad feeling that if Ancelotti is not available we'll end up with Mark Hughes

Is there anyone else available that we could move for? or who would you suggest?

To be honest despite us having about 400 coaches not one of them really seems the sort to manage. The likes of Jordan would have started to manage a long while ago if it was his forte.

Moyes would be a reasonable shout but you know what things are like the fans will scream for a big name and automatically assume that because he was a great player he will also be a great manager, a bit like Ardiles and Hoddle were for us

Its no big surprise that most of the top managers were never fantastic players but despite that people never seem to learn. Why anybody thinks Jurgen would make a top manager god only knows. He may do ok but IMO it would be a gamble that I was not willing to make particularly as we are in the best position we have been for years and I would hate to see that all go down the drain because we made YET ANOTHER bad decision when it comes to appointing a manager.

Not nowadays.
Although Cloughie had his playing career ended too early.
Bobby Robson was ok in his time too AFAIK.

Look at the 66 world cup winning team. The only one who made a good career as a manager was the worst footballer of the lot as in Jack Charlton.

whinger, average footballer
SAF average footballer
Mouriniho average footballer

The list is endless even the likes of Ramsey and Nicholson were reasonable footballers none of them were top class.

ah stop man thats the nightmare scenario isnt it. Surely though you'd think if Harry does leave for England that Levy has had plenty of time to think about this by now and must have someone in mind at least?

What like he did when he appointed Ramos

To be fair to Levy I think he has learned a hell of a lot in his time as Chairman and I would be very surprised if he got Harrys replacement wrong, should we need to replace him of course.

Under Darths leadership we have improved beyond belief, despite the odd blip and I have great faith in the guy

I do too man he really impressed me with the Modric bullshiet in the summer too Lets hope he gets this right because we are so close to being a top top team right now. Being a Spurs fan I always think a bit negatively with a niggle in the back of my mind that we are so close to letting it slip away too.

Hopefully we've turned the corner now and can establish ourselves right up at the top of the league

Theres a name...

I like Lambert, he speaks well - he is a winner won European Cups, league titles as a player. If Redknapp leaves I think we could do worse but a lot of people will be expecting a big name.

Sadly it seems to be a choice of two....

Tim Sherwood and Mark Hughes.

Mark Hughes is a friend of Levys, he rejected the spurs job once, we rejected him once. Betting has been suspended several times on him, he is also the current bookies favourite. I am certain he left Fulham for a deal with us.

Tim Sherwood is very well liked within the club and is the backup plan to Hughes. Consider a Guardiola type promotion only it will end in tears.

Personally Alex Inglethorpe is one of the best young coaches in the game and i hope he gets an opportunity.
