I lost ALL my bets..

After bragging on here the other day how easy it is to win bets by just placing larger stakes on likely outcomes (instead of doing tricky accumulators), i come on here today a broke man. I bet my hard earned money/Xmas bonus on the following:

£50 win on Chelsea to beat Fulham

£20 on Arsenal to beat Wolves

£25 on City to beat West Brom

£15 on Liverpool to beat Blackburn

And £20 on West Ham to beat Birmingham

So i won absolute zilch.

Oh well, brown stuff happens i suppose.

Did anyone else have any festive bets that come good or went badly?

yellow and green i think

Only reason i asked was, there was some chap in the pub who said he had £20 on a horse at 3/1 & was watching the race on the pub tele.

He was telling (boring) me about the horse being quite old & if it won it broke the record for most wins on the particular course, or something like that.

He definitely had a purple hat though.

You should have been like me and just lumped on Spurs at 8/11 on Wednesday.

Same again this weekend at Swansea. For some reason Spurs are still going off at pretty good prices, even at home.

If United or Chelsea were playing at Swansea guaranteed to go off at 1/3, but Spurs are still 8/13 at worse.

Just backing Spurs like myself this season would be an absolutely guarantee of profit.

hedley bull

I never back my own team - too much riding on it. I bet on teams i dont want to win, but are likely to - that way i'm kind of happy either way.

If they win, i win financially. If they drop points, then thats just as rewarding.

Can you imagine the payout if you'd done an accumulator on that lot?

Chicken: For someone who predicted West Ham would likely be relegated from the Championship and playing in League One next season, maybe it's best you don't waste any more of your money on your predictions.

I didnt actually claim it would happen straight away but i wouldnt say it was impossible if, as i suspect, West Ham come down the league in the new year, fail to qualify from the play-offs & as they have no money, they will get relegated due to the yoyo club that they are.
