Raul Meireles is not going to be Frank Lampard's replacement. He was a last minute panic buy because we could not get Modric and we lost Essien as well. He is a decent stop gap and thats all.
AVB has got Mata, Ramires, Romeu and Sturridge coming along nicely and is praying for the right conductor to be available in the Summer.
As far as going forward is concerned Ashley is crucial as he showed at Spurs and we'll need a right back to compliment him. Another striker will be high on his list as Lukaku is very, very long term.
Heres hoping for a magician to shine in the Euros and choose us!

I'm also not a fan of Cahill but he is better than Bos or Ferriera at CB at least and he also isn't a panic buy. You panic buy to mcuh

Cahill is fine. Good players, yes not anything to sing about, but he is good backup.

Bringing in Cahill has nothing to do with Terry´s court case.
It´s because Alex is leaving and we need a replacement CB in the squad.
CB has always been a problem position for us so the more CB´s we have in the squad the better as we forever suffer injuries and suspensions in that position.
In truth with Ivanovic playing right back it could be argued that we could do with another CB as well as Cahill.

Nah Ivanovic can just come back to CB as 4th choice. What's needed then is a decent back-up RB. Hugo Mallo

meireles in my opinion has been our player of the year so far with ramires and terry.
Love how people get on sturridge because he does nothing in a game and then pops up with a goal. Yet meireles who works hard all 90 mins, setting people up on plates and chipping in with a goal gets harsh criticism in his first season
