Fernandes up, up and away...

...received a text to say that one or two of the players have confirmed via their twittering that he is gone.

Pity, if true - there seemed to be more to his game than we ever quite saw. But he is not the sort of player in whom Pearson was likely to be interested.

Strong rumours that Johnson's exit is imminent as well, so I guess the good news is that this may be a sign that Pearson is looking to bring in another creative midfielder to challenge Wellens for his place.

Butterfield? Out of contract in the summer, has refused to sign a new one.

Shame because I think he showed a bit of promise that he could be a good holding player in Sven's system but if Nigel wants to play the two in midfield, then it's difficult to incorporate one who just sits and protects the defence and if he wanted to leave then it's best we parted company.

Also, we have a similar player in Abe but Yuki is more versatile and he is of course our player so if we were going to lose some CM's, which we needed to, then the loan players were always going to be the most fallible.

If it's true about Johnson then that is the bigger shame because everyone is speaking about this creative centre-mid that we need but I feel he could have been that player but unfortunately he was never fit. Just to throw some more names into the hat, maybe someone like a McEachran (unlikely but who knows), Shelvey or Livermore on loan or if we want a permanent deal, possibly a cheeky bid for Clayton who's probably the best creative midfielder in our league.

A bit of a shame because Fernandes seemed to be trying hard and Johnson's clearly talented but doesn't trust that his body will hold up in challenges (probably with good reason).

Still, it's not a great surprise. Onwards and upwards.

I hear that Fernandes wante first team football and could get it at a higher level than Leicester so fair play to him.

Johnson however, I hear has been very disruptive since Sven left. Apparently he wasn't happy about Sven's exit and has been acting like a spoilt child since. I've heard that he has never been properly fit and as such, Pearson was happy to sideline him and stamp his authority on the club.

Fernandes never quite did it for me. He looked like e should be really good, but never seemed to have a good game. Johnson looked a class above but I think we'll be seeing him retiring from football in the next couple of years.

lol i love all this "I heard" stuff !! I heard kaspers shugging the tea lady and beckfords doing the groundsman,,,,so must be true! lmao

I always though Fernandes seemed to play better away than at home for what ever reason- certainly at the start of the season

I remember his games against cov and forest he was beautifuly spraying the ball nicely around, chasing down, putting a foot in - he looked like the midfielder we needed (still need). Its just a shame he never carried it on

Miami, don't be so stupid - Kasper is sleeping with the groundsman, not the tea lady.

Your sources are clearly having you on.

Im surprised by this actually, I thought he might have been given a chance whilst our current centre pair seem to be out of form at the moment.
