Pearo sinks Saints!

I know View will appreciate this, as he was always a staunch supporter of the ginger one!

Stephen Pearson ends Saints 25 game unbeaten home run, and probably helps keep the Trees down in that bottom three, opening up the gap. Crikey!

What do Robins fans think? Is he doing a job for you?

HAPPY NEW YEAR, ONE AND ALL

Thanks for this Mojaca - its 13YO who really took to him.

I still maintain he could have and in a sense was doing a job for us. Trouble is - yet agin - he is a confidence player and the awful stick he got because he was an 'easy' target always saddened me when there were 7/8/9 other players doing just as poorly.

Cheers

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU, 13YO & FAMILY

Not sure about him yet tbh. He certainly works hard and I'm pleased with his contribution so far.
We too had a player who copped a disproportional amount of stick - Lee Johnson - you may remember he spent a short time on loan with you guys a couple of seasons ago.
Sometimes the face simply doesn't fit, and people almost WISH for you to mess up, so that they can justify their vilification.

Yes we have been very happy with his contribution to the cause and will be more than happy to keep him at the Gate provided our manager wants him.
In the games I have seen him play his workrate has been outstanding and as he became more intune with the other players he looked like he could be more dangerous as it takes time for new players to gel with an existing team as the players he is now with take time to work out the new tactics needed to accomadate new players and the new player has to adapt to new players arround him. To be honest from what I have seen of him I am surprised he isn't one of the first players on your team sheet but as someone else has said if it is a confidence thing then I can understand why he might not have performed as well as he could at Derby Woolford is getting stick from some of our supporters, even when he is playing well, basically you will always have some mouthy 'so called supporters' whose main enjoyment it seems at matches is to throw insults at players regardless of which team they play for even their own.
Happy New Year to all on JA606 and all other footie chatsites.
