Hopefully it is not a serious one but with only 48 hours from now to Fulham I don't think we will see him starting.

No news about injury yet, hopefully we get gibbs back soon.

Gibbs is out until the end of January I thought. Would not be surprised to see Sagna back before him.

Cheers, fingers crossed its a precautionary thing, we've actually not shipped many goals of late despite the lack of recognised full backs, would be rubbish to lose verm for any length of time...

Can't see wenger bringing any full backs in January either as we actually have a fair few, just all of them are injured

The only time we have conceded more than 1 goal with Vermaelen at the back this season was against Pool when we were down to 10 men and had Jenkinson and Miquel at the back. Vermaelen is a beast.

Agree. He is a brilliant defender, but also a great footballer in general, obviously wouldn't do it, but he would probably do a decent job up front for us as well!!

Vermaelen out for 2-3 weeks.

He was limping quite bad according to the commentator, so I doubt he'd make the Fulham game.
