What's wrong with our team?

I'll tell you what's wrong.

First the players. Half of the current team are past it. They are overpaid, too old, lack pace and have no inspiration or desire to suceed because they have won most things. So lets start by getting rid of the following immediately. Terry, Cole, Bosingwa, Ferreira, Cech, Branovic, Drogba, Lampard, Mikel, Malouda, Kalou.

Second the manager. He is clearly inexperienced. A decision needs to be made. Let's acknowledge that the squad has aged together and that too many are past their sell by date all at the same time. It is time to rebuild. Let's not try and pretend to still be competing. We have to accept that we need two or three years rebuilding, even at the expense of not winning anything. So why is AVB persevering with the old guard who look more and more vunerable week after week. Start blooding some of the youngsters. Why do we persist on putting them all out on loan and still ignoring them when they come back?

Third, someone please tell Abramovich give the manager a chance to rebuild and to not put so much pressure on the team having to win something for the next few years. Unless of course he's prepared to spend the sort of money on new players that City have spent.

Let's just realise this is the end of an era for the current squad. So let's forget the past and start to rebuild for the future.
