FIFA

Hi all....

serious article for a change...
I see Jack Warner has resigned......thus eliminating himself from being questioned and investigated about corruption....

Is this how you get away with things these days?
I always thought that these big institutions should be more transparent to the public.....
It's ridiculous that people like this can be bribed and take bungs etc and get away with it....

I mean Qatar????? WTF?? money has bought them that world cup, and I'm not bothered what the have to say to defend it!!!!!

thoughts??

With the new revelations that any criminal activity commited at work goes away if you resign, I am going to stab my boss today, then leave my letter of resignation on his chest.

Sweeping things under the carpet is the FIFA way.

The thing is that for South America, Asia, all of Southern & Western Europe, Africa:-corruption and under hand dealings is an accepted way of doing things.

We are in the minority.

Not that I'm generalising

Shouldn't there be some sort of legal procedure as opposed to a bogus internal enquiry?
If they accepted bungs, they broke the law, surely? God i'd love to see some of those smug bar stewards behind bars.

The worst thing for me was the comment (i think from Blatter) that went along the lines of saying he's resigned, no investigation is needed, thus he is presumed innocent.

Now I fully appreciate one is "innocent until proven guilty", but come on FIFA! Surely his resignation is proof of guilt, else why would he resign? Another two fingers up at FIFA's accountability. Absolute joke of an organization.

If an accused acts to avoid the need for trial, how can that admonish them of such obvious guilt that it required said action in the first place? If that really is the case, we've all been a little harsh on Hitler.
