Why?

We need a good, solid full back.

There is no way Chelsea will sell Alex to us. I'm sure they already regret giving us Yossi.

We can't throw in Denilson (even if Cologne would take him) since he is on loan this whole season.

I'd prefer a full back to Alex tbh but, PODOLSKI!!!

Why Alex? Is he going to play in either full back positions for us? We need full backs! We already have 4 CBs.

I'd love to see Podolski come though. We play similar football to Germany and he thrives there.

Podolski is definitely coming in January.

We're not going to get Alex. No chance. The lack of first team appearances is precisely the reason why he's leaving Chelsea; he'd just be another benchwarmer at Arsenal.

Wenger has said he MIGHT go for a defender on loan. Wayne Bridge is the only one we can buy, who else would move on loan midway through a season?
