You stated in the paper that your goal this season is to get promotion to the Premier League,You also stated that a manager lives and dies by his signings!!
I have a message for Mr "Papa Smurf" Bates......
"YOU ONLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!"
If Bates wants promotion this season he needs to dig REALLY deep into his pocket to inject some class back into Leeds United.

Out wage bill in league 1 was higher than the average in the champ and it's gone up quite Abit since then

I'd be interested to know what the wage bill is, as he has offloaded all the top earners and if what the likes of Kilkenny and Johnson have come out with is to be believed, Bates has reduced our avege earner to around £5-£6K per week. Not peanuts, but if, as he demands, he wants promotion, then he needs to get real, as that sort of wage is not going to attract the necessary quality.
