If a player is over 30 and have never played in England before played in England then I am sorry how is it a good signing.
The championship is harder than most of the top divisions in Europe, let alone the MLS.

Yes the championship tough , but he was never the type of player to run at defences, his qualities are shooting and holding midfield , Townsend will do the running !
