Gutted to see Schmeichel being sold, thought he did well last year considering what was in front of him. Can't say I'm surprised we're cashing in on him though, was always on the cards when he was only given a 2 year deal.
Lots of people throwing Keiren Westwood's name about, but does anyone really think we have a realistic chance of signing him? Reminds me of last summer when many wanted Gary Hooper to replace Beckford. Great player but he was hardly gonna choose us over Celtic, and I think the same'll happen with Westwood and Sunderland.
For Kasper's replacement, I'd like to see us go for McCarthy from Reading. He wants first team Championship football and he played great against us last season

Durham ..... i've a feeling you might be spot on. Seems to be a lot of wishful thinking/speculation that we'll sign Westwood to replace Kasper, shame all the rumours are just coming from these boards though and not from a more reliable source!

I doubt Westwoods agent will let him come to Leeds, the wages won't be high enough.
Come to think of it, with all best players being sold or let go by SG, do ya think Papa promised him bonus's, wouldn't surprise me at all and would certainly make sense of everything.

Got to admit, when you actually look at him, Schmeichel has made quite a few mistakes towards the end of the season, you need a defence the goalkeeper can trust and a goalkeeper the defence can trust.
