With all these talks of us signing David Banner does this mean Bobby has finally resigned himself to the fact Alexis is off to Barca?!? I've seen Banner play a few times last season and looks a good player. I haven't seen much of Sanchez but with every man and his dog coming forward for him he must be decent. Then with the gossip article below linking us with Zarate, my question is who do we want to see at CoMS next season (realistically)? Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Banner in the blue and White of city next season, I really would not want this Zarate kid though!!!

I want to see a decent LB, don't mind who really, someone in the mould of Heinze though.

I don't think he'd be very expensive either, reports in the paper haven't been higher than 10m have they?
His form hasn't been quite as good in the past couple of seasons from what I gather, but maybe a fresh challenge and, dare I say, an increased chance of silverware would sort that out if he came to us?

Didn't I read somewhere that the Barca/Sanchez talks have stalled for some reason?
He does seem like the hottest property up for sale this window and there's still a chance he may come to Manchester (Red side hopefully)

True true, I reckon he could be a decent signing, certainly got one thing Kolarov never will - pace!
Could be a cheaper option too, reckon we could wrap a deal up for about 10m, and to be honest I'd probably rather have Clichy over Baines.
Still think we need a new top quality CB too though. Watched the season review DVD the other day, and despite upping his game, the amount of times Lescott played a significant part in goals conceded in the second half of last season worried me.

Yeah I agree, Lescott got better but IMO still isn't good enough for CL. All the Vertonghan talk cooled down which is a shame because he looks solid.
To be honest I hope we manage to get this Sanchez kid because more than anything it's a statement of intent! To be in the running for a player who all the top clubs are after and get him would be great!!!
