Hansen

what is his problem with Luiz? Seriously. Has Luiz been sleeping with his Mrs or something? Because he hates him! There is no other explanation.
He mentions him every week, and other than QPR, there hasn't been any poor peformances from him tbh. I can understand him mentioning Bosingwa because his defending needed to be mentioned, but Luiz had nothing to do with anything. Arsenal was the same, He blamed the poor defending all on him and Bosingwa, and if anything it was Terry, Malouda and Sturridge who made mistakes.
Against Liverpool he was apperently bad, but he kept Saurez out of the game, which United failled to do even though they played 3 CBs on the pitch including the "amazing" Jones! He was also not responsible for the bad defending, Mikel, Cole and Terry were to blame for the goals.

Atleast he will bring life to it.

Even if we kept our current squad for the net 10 years it will never go as stale as the Lineker-Hansen-Lawrongson trio has gone.

It what you would call so 2001

From what I have seen of Luiz he does many things reallly well and has cut out much of the rashness he showed when he was first signed but I still think that he still gives the oposition an oportunity in the game with his poor positional play or his wish to run forward too impetuously.

He may still learn the positional side with experience and with a good holding midfield player in the team his forages forward would be good for the team rather than over committing players.

It's just my opionion but on this seasons form I would have Terry, Carragher, Agger or Skertel ahead of him in my team. He may be a better footballer than all of them but they would get you more clean sheets

Luiz, Joey Barton and Jack Wilshire should present the show

Agrees oP I saw no need for his random snipe at Luiz

I think we are just really bad at defending set pieces at the moment.
Wolves only had three chances of note and they all came from badly defended free kicks.
Our best defender at set pieces is probably Drogba and he's gone for the ACON.
Alex is also very good but given the way he's been isolated from the first team its not really relevant now.

Alan Hansen pulls most defenders apart at some stage, normally stating that they were unaware of what to do in certain situations, this is true but then again they dont have the back pass to the goalkeeper as an option these days do they Alan

A poor defender yet only you lot, The Mancs and Villa have scored more than once against us in a match he has played in.

Doesn't really mean much when you consider how many points he's lost you.

Luiz is a class act and twice the player of Phil Jones and has gained us so many points.

Thats an unquantifiable statement.
In the games we've dropped points when he's played, there is no way of knowing whether we would have done worse, better or the same without him.
