Do You Remember ...

the last time the right side of our team has been stronger or even as strong as our left side? Neither do I.

In the past decade, most of our best play has always come down our left side. It maybe due to Lampard and Terry mostly playing down that side of the pitch but I still can't get why we haven't been able to have similar if not better quality on the right than the left.

From Robben on the left and Duff on the right(though they often switched wings) to Malouda and Anelka/Kalou to Mata and Sturridge, we've always seen our left sided players produce more often than their counterparts on the opposite flank. I've refused to mention the full backs because Cole and Bridge have mostly been better than whoever their counterparts be whether Geremi or Ivanovic or Bosingwa or Ferreira.

What do you guys think is the reason for this trend? the scouts? the players? the managers?

Quite ironically, we are now looking for a left winger(could have been Zhirkov) to allow Mata move to a central position and I think whoever we get(hopefully Hazard, Shaqiri or Neymar(less likely)) will still produce more consistently than Sturridge as a winger.

Would've been Petrescu as right back or Clarke going further back...... I miss the old team!!
