.......our lack of width is becoming a concern. With Bales increasing confidence to play a more central role rather than staying wide we look a bit short of options at times especially without Lennon on the other wing.
Walker has been immense with his over lapping runs but cut a rather solitary figure out on the right at times last night with nowhere to go but backwards when he did receive the ball. I'm not complaining, more concerned as the win was the most important aspect of the game. I know it's difficult to break down 11 men behind the ball from the first minute but I can't wait for Lennon to return.
Having said that West Brom were an absolute disgrace to Premier League football last night. I have never seen such negativity in a team coming to the lane or to any ground for that matter. For a team with players who are able to play good football, Roys tactics left a sour taste in the mouth. You couldn't even call it counter attacking football as they had all 11 men in their half for pretty much the entire game. It was frankly embarassing and they got exactly what they deserved which was a big fat zero goals and points!
Great win last night but......

"The FA Cup break has come at a good time for you"
Fate has been kinder to us (the Europa exit, the PL fixture list) than others. Perhaps the current injury situation is a bit of Nemesis.
Arry on player usage is a dividing issue on Spurs 606.
Probably more WUM potential on that nowadays than actual match results.

"The way the media are hyping Spurs, lesser teams are always going to come to WHL and park the bus."
---------------------------
The media are not hyping us, win our game in hand and we're 3 points off the top mid way through the season....those facts speak for themselves without the need for hype!

"The media are not hyping us"
Dem clubs will probably scrutinise hrs of actual footage of Spurs playing, before even reading one page of media blah-blah.

I don't know why Walker can't just be moved up to right wing. Arry has admitted himself we look short on that right side without Lennon, but having Bale play there kind of nullifies Walker's pace because they're occupying the same space.

If Arry wants to play that game, then he must have back up flank players.
Whether Walker could become the right-side Bale is another story.
Corluka/Lennon worked well as a combo. So Corluka/Walker could too.

The media are obviously hyping Spurs. Spurs have not been flavour of the month but flavour of the season with Sky. I'm not saying the hype is unjustified but there is definitely hype

West Brom were very defensive but towards the end they became more attacking due to losing the game. That's when having 2 fast wingers on either side can help you out where it might not have before against 11 men behind the goal. Gives you a better chance for the counter attack.

i have been reluctant in the past to play walker on the right but yesterday we were just so narrow that it might be worth a go.
corluka play on saturday to give him some game time, then corluka rb, walker rm if lennon isnt back.
that said, i dont think walker has the technical ability to play as a right midfielder, but will develop into an outstanding right back where he has space to run into when he attacks.

West Brom had eight first teamers out injured yesterday, imn sure if Hodgson had a near enough first team available it"d been a totally different game.
The last two meetings between WBA and Spurs and been two great games and yesterday Roy had no option to defend like they did and hope to nick one.
