these are the stats of a batting line up that is said to be the "best in the world"
Dravid 6 matches 11 innings ave of 60.44
tendulkar 6 matches 11 innings ave of 38
laxman 6 matches 11 innings ave of 17- as i said the worst of all with sehwag
sehwag 4 matches 7 innings ave of 20
gambhir 4 matches 7 innings ave of 13.11
dhoni 6 matches 11 innings ave of 34
very concerning for an indian fan as we cant even expect our batsman to fight it out for a draw. but eventhough our batsman havent produced 100s our bowlers have been very consistant in doing that. we saw rp, ishant and bhajji do it in england and now to join the party is our so called leader of the attack in zak, and india's best spinner. maybe by 2 o clock today all our part time bowlers will join the party
Stats dont lie, or do they

Can we just put it down to age?
Gambhir is of form, but is technically sound and he will be fine once he recovers his form, but the rest of them are pretty ancient now. Sehwag is no spring chicken at 33, and his style with the onslaught of new fast bowlers, i think will quickly become untenable.

Agree with Jezzer about Sehwag. I still don't rate Gambhir's technique if the wicket is doing something. He is far too shaky for a test opener.
He got away poking outside off in the past..it won't happen everytime, as we have seen recently.

I agree swat, but i think that is to do with his form, he has little confidence, and is shaky as a result. the 68 he made yesterday should give him some confidence.
