India will be hoping for fresh performance today after the shambles that was day 2. Australia hit over 300 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. Yes, you can place some of the blame on Dhoni, for his puzzling decision to bat first on a pitch that offers most of the bowling on the first day, however you have to look more, i think, in the direction of the indian batsmen. with the exception of Dhoni, none of them showed any determination to succeed and get a big score, in complete contrast to Clarke and Ponting. Something is seriously wrong with the Indian batsmen, and i think it might be time to call it a day pretty soon specifically for laxman, but also perhaps for both dravid and tendulkar if their form doesn't improve in series to come.
yes it is true that the replacements that have come in the the indian test team over the past couple of years, raina and kholi most recently, have not really impressed, but you have to persevere with them for the sake of the future of indian test cricket. Looking on the bright side though, the indian bowlers i thought bowled quite well yesterday, albeit to some very negative fields from Dhoni.
For Australia, all they need is more of the same. assumuing for a second that they don't get bolwed out, the question is when will we see a declaration? i imagine Clarke will want to try and push on for a triple hundred, and hussey will like to make a hundred himself i'm sure. personally, if i were clarke, i'd bat out the day, and give myself 2 days to bowl out the indians.
anyway, we will see
Aus v Ind, Day 3

If India get all out here without ensuring a draw, I will give up cricket. Too many losses off late.

This is what you call die hard support for your team going through the good and bad times. I applaud you SWAT

Kudos to Clarke.
He declared before he passed the highest test score for an Aussie skipper (5 runs short) because it was in the interests of the team.
I have been a critic of him in the past, but he did well there.

I wasn’t aware of that. Credit to clarkey for his superb performance and thinking about the team first and personal records secondary. A lesson to a few other “top notch” players no doubt.
Swat – mate, you gave up on cricket a few months back – remember the England tour? No doubt you’ll be back again in a few months when you see India playing at Home vs Bangladesh or Zimbabwe I’m sure the genuine Indian supporters are a ashamed to call you a “fan” of the their team, with that kind of attitude.

it wouldn't take him that long, infact he wouldn't miss one single match until Sachin retires, and each time wishing he gets to his 100th ton.
