L. Burgess signs for south sydney

How much will Souths be paying Sams brothers, they seem to just be bringing them over to accomodate Sam.

Can't really see Luke Burgess doing much in the NRL going off his SL performances.

Yes it's odd but maybe under a good coach he may come on well as he has the size and basics.

I can't say I am overly enthusiastic about this signing but on saying that..............his role at South's will be to replace Luke Stuart who is retireing after giving South's great service since we rallied to get back into the NRL.
Burgess's job will be to simply run the ball up straight and hard in the effort of putting the defence on there back foot and defend strongly. South's have ball playing forwards in Asotasi, Taylor & younger brother Sam so he (Luke) won't be asked to do anything he can't already handle except maybe lift his intensity.

Life can't get much better for Luke. He's moving to Sydney, he has the chance to work with his brothers and under a fantastic coach.
I'm sure he'll throw everything he's got at it.
When he first came into the Leeds side he showed good promise but never really lived upto it.
Hopefully the move will revitalize him.
Is he going straight over or is he joining up next year?

I think he will do well in the long run.

doubt he will see the inside of a rabbitohs jersey any time soon. unless hes laundering sams gear.

do expect to see him running out in the nsw cup or somesuch.

Well Well Well what do ya know.............I got a surprise of my life a few days ago when I seen an interview with Luke on the idiot box.
I didn't think he would be coming until next season after a few players had retired and our injured forwards were fit and ready to go again.
Seeing as he is here and the injury count rising I can't see why he won't get a run in the first grade to help out some of the local juniors who have been busting their gut for the last 6 - 8 weeks doing a fantasic job. I'll give it 2 weeks and he will be on the bench for Souths.
