Bamba Going To The Cup Of Nations

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16425375.stm

Big blow I feel because he has been good this season. Question is, with SSL seemingly off to Ipswich, it leaves us with only Mills and Tunchev for the rest of January and probably half of Feburary. Do we need another or can we rely on Pelts to be a 3rd CB with someone like Liam Moore filling in at RB until Sol comes back and is it worth signing a player for just over a month?

Personally, I think a loan for an experienced centre-back to cover will be fine.

I hope Bamba gets played because looking at that squad I think he'll struggle to get a game which will be a massive waste for both club and player.

Back to the original topic, I'd prefer to see a decent CB come in rather than putting players out of position, so either a short term signing or loan should do.

Jack Hobbs anyone?

Well, it's good news for him, bad news for the Mills/Bamba partnership.

With Tunchev the way he is, I expect we will need to get a centre back on loan for a month or two to cover Bamba's exit. That is unless Pearson decides that someone in the youth team deserves a shot.

Or we could even give SSL a proper try. ?

Hobbs - ditto. Bid put in - Bid turned down !
