To all the media pundits and other fans that have given rovers fans stick in recent weeks for not getting behind the manager I've got one word.....Sunderland.
Sunderland had a disastrous start to the season. They were conceding soft goals week after week and at the other couldn’t hit a barn door.
Bruce was coming out after every match giving excuse after excuse as to why the team was losing but never once taking responsibility for it. Did the media say he was doing an excellent job? No.
The fans got on Bruce’s back. The boos started to ring around the Stadium of Light. Did the media say this was ‘disgraceful’ behaviour? No.
The fans started to bring banners and posters to home games calling for Bruce to be sacked. Did the media say this was ‘disgraceful’ behaviour? No.
The Sunderland fans finally got their way and low and behold a new manager comes in, lifts the place, gives the players confidence and all of a sudden their the in- form team in the league rocketing up the table.
So why are rovers fans being victimised for wanting the same? Any idiot who knows anything about football can see that Kean is not fit for the job. United’s performance last night proved that the win at United was nothing more than a fluke. Let’s be honest, if you want to stay in this league it’s the games against the Wigan’s, Sunderland’s, Villa, Wolves, West Brom, Stokes that you should be targeting as winnable and Kean has failed this test miserably.
Why sack Kean?

So why are rovers fans being victimised for wanting the same?
1. Kean's media spin is surprisingly effective, he's managed to make everyone feel sorry for and like him. Bruce didn't bother constructing his image quite so carefully so nobody really cared if he got stick.
2. Despite being far more successful than them for the last 2 decades, people view Rovers as being somehow less worthy of being in this league than Sunderland. So our fans should accept relegation more readily.
3. Everyone seems to have forgotten last season and therefore are of the opinion that Kean hasn't been given enough of a chance. It was more obvious that Bruce had with 2 full seasons.

I know a simple way to stop the fans booing so much, sack Steve Kean. That would lift the mood of the fans right away.

Point Number 3 of B&WH post above sums it up. Somehow, in the face of all logic, Kean has managed to convince all and sundry that last season never happened.
On topic WildRover. These threads should educate, but they won't. I have been amazed at how ignorant other clubs fans and the media as a whole have been to the Rover's predicament. I have given up trying to explain.

Why employ Kean? Surely that is the question

Same reason you get with a fat chick. They don't expect you to spend much on them and they're so grateful they'll do pretty much anything you say.
