RE: Sneijder, it's a stretch to present any bit of evidence in the public domain as conclusive proof either way of how far the deal was explored. Fergie made a lot of negative noises about it - but with some interesting qualifications, and he had plenty of reasons to play down the likelihood if at the time MUFC were trying to knock down the price. He also has form in putting out misinformation about transfers. Sneijder seemed to drop the odd hint over the summer that something could be afoot. After it became clear he was staying it was very much in his interests to show the Inter fans that he never wanted to leave and - above all - it wasn't about the money for him, only a question of whether Inter 'needed' to sell him. Meanwhile, the journalists who claimed to have information to the contrary had an interest in putting out the kind of copy that sells advertising space and there is little reason to doubt that many of them were listening to the same 'insiders' as the ubiquitous Captain Positivity.

Either way, he seemed to me at the time completely the wrong player to fix the gap in our central midfield, and his very poor impact on Inter's season so far suggests he wouldn't have done much for us this season.

The jurno wasnt trying to sell paper space it was in a fanzine mag and there were more than one source, and I actually believe the person who told me. But like usual on here you put forward a debate in a good way you get called all sorts by very angry young people who really need to get out more!

This person you are dealing with, Vidicschin, on this particular thread is a person who will twist and manipulate anything said that does not agree with his own opinion.He is not bothered whether this applies to his own or opposing fans.
He does this in a manner, that to be quite honest myself and others find quite offensive,which to your detriment are experiencing now..
Maybe this site needs another board where he can comment away to his hearts content,where I have no doubt,he would end up falling out with himself.

IMO.Forums like these are about voicing opinions and opinions will differ which does lead to healthy debate and good banter.This k@@b,as you put it so well,is jeapordizing the whole credibility of these boards,not so much with his opinions,but with his,condescending,contemptible manner,like a cancer spreading slowly.
