Thoughts? I know it's paper talk but this rumour isn't going to go away until Pogba signs a new contract. I know he recently said now that he has had a taste of first team football he wants to knuckle down and play more. However, if Fergie doesn't give him any chances I can't see him wanting to stay, he hasn't really impressed me much in the short cameo's he has had but luckily I have watched him play in the reserves and it seems certain he is destined for big things. It will be a blow to lose such a talent, as Pogba could become a United great if he lives up to his true potential.

Furthermore, I believe this could be Fergie's last great team IF some of the younger players live up to the hype. It's not all doom gloom over here as some fans are suggesting, I know it's frustrating to watch United at the moment but this is a transitional season for us. We have to be patient, I know it is irritating hearing Fergie say there is no value in the market etc but we have been spoiled with success in recent years which is purely down to Fergie, just because the team isn't as strong as in previous seasons doesn't mean we will not win anything. Keep the faith!

Yeah, I hope so too. It really is bizarre, we don't have an influx of defence prospects from youth, apart from Fryers, and he is being given time here and there - So playing midfielders in defence is justifiable.
However, playing defenders in midfield, when you have prospects waiting, just doesn't breath confidence into them. With agents nowadays, you're just giving them a strong foundation to brain-wash a player to leave.

of course it does if you are good enough then you will get your chance surely not? I rate the lad but club insiders see more than we do..hence, if he was good enough he would have had more of a chance...just sick ofthe overhyping our youngsters get..Iv seen more 'the next Messi' type young players than I can remember..

Darkpheonix so correct about the issue. I will laugh my head off if he goes on to be useful player. Why is a player we chased as a youngster and an 18 yr old being chased a top team in the world not being played? Rafa played ahead of me in midfield?

Rooneysmiles - you are right, no player should be at United if they dont play for the love of the club, nowadays though it's all about money. Agents are also to blame. Football could do without them.

How are you supposed to want to play for the club when you dont play for the club. This mentality irks me. We yell about signing players who go to the highest bidder and then knock a player whose only want is to be able to play for us. It is literally the only reason he will have to leave us.

Perhaps SAF sees a reason that he is not playing in the first team? Perhaps SAF believes he is not quite good enough (as yet) despite the howling of the fans to play him...it's a thought...isit not?
