why is it given to the best player in the best team though? why not the best player? like, say vorm doesnt get to be goalie of the year because he plays for swansea and hart wins it because he plays for city even though vorm has been better.

everyone thought boozer was top 2 pf in the game at jazz with williams, now he is at bulls. he is useless. what does that say abbout williams?

That Williams had a good partnership with Boozer.

I am not saying the MVP system isnt flawed. Yet at the end of the day, you can't argue that if you are THAT a good player, why aren't your team doing well. Maybe the reason why their stats are that good is because their too selfish and thus it has a negative impact on the team.

or because the help was so bad. using that dwyane wade one as a example. the squad was.

thats how bad the help was. without dwyane wade, they would not have won a single game. he had the highest ppg. highest blocks in all guards. and top 10 in assist and 3 in rebounds with guards.

I agree that the help was shocking. Yet you cant say that without Wade they would have done poorly as you never know how they would have worked as a team without him. Whereas we can say that the Cavaliers played well with Le Bron in the team. Which is why they shouldnt change the MVP system at the end of the day.

that shows that, unless you have good help. you cant win the mvp award. which is completely ridiculous. it should be given to the best player in the league in the past season. not a decent player who has a good team.

You can make an educated guess, but you don't actually no. That is the bases of the MVP award. For all we know the team could have played much better without him.

Also it is never a decent player in a good team, it is always a brilliant player in a good team.

I dont like the comparison with football in this situation as a Bball team made up of 1 good player is a lot better than a Football team made up of 1 good player.
